Achievements

ACHIEVEMENTS During the short existence of the choir a great number of successful concerts have been given. In this short period of time the choir has achieved a high level owing to the musicality of the singers, of whom many have played an instrument or have sung in other choirs for years. When the choir competed in the National Festival for Youth Choirs in 1998, it won the third prize in the highest category. In the same year the choir won a second prize in the Dutch Choir Festival in Rotterdam. In 2000 the choir visited Llangollen (Wales), where it took part in an event with choirs from all over the world. In 2003 Plurale Tantum were on stage with world famous composer John Rutter (UK) for a festival called ‘Feel the Spirit’. In October 2004 Plurale Tantum went to Russia where they took part in the festival ‘Youth Choir Univers Krasnoyarsk’. There were more journeys abroad; in 2002 they visited Prague and in 2007 Berlin. During these journeys there were special concerts on special locations like, for example the ‘Gedächtniskirche’ and the ‘Mariënkirche’ in Berlin. In 2007 Plurale Tantum were fourth at the National Festival of Youth Choirs. Plurale Tantum are always seeking for new challenges! The social part, however, remains very important and is therefore very well taken care of.
